Watching someone I love face the possibility of losing their home gave me a pit in my stomach I couldn’t shake. It made me start asking questions. Is there any money leftover? What happens to the excess after a sale? Does the county keep it? And if so, that’s not fair!

That’s how I learned about Surplus Funds. Money that belongs to the homeowner. Money most people never know exists. Money that quietly disappears if no one claims it… just sitting in the great abyss that is called the county. Millions of dollars that go unclaimed.

I couldn’t sit with that. So I built this business — to help families find and reclaim what is rightfully theirs.
